The admission process at DSCE is through CET and COMEDK. The minimum requirement for a Bachelor's Degree (B.E.) is a pass in PUC / CBSE / ISCE / 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, and a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics and one of Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Electronics, with English as a compulsory subject.

Admission Procedure

The admission process at DSCE is conducted through common tests administered by state and national agencies — KCET and COMEDK-UGET. The process commences in March each year and concludes on 31st July of the same year. Lateral entry through the Diploma Quota (3rd semester) commences in July/August.

Course & Eligibility — B.E. Programs

  • Admission is through the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Karnataka Government, or through the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK). Candidates with a meritorious rank are considered for admission.
  • A pass in PUC / 12th / 10+2 or equivalent in the first attempt, with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and English as one of the subjects/languages.
  • A pass with 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics and one of Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics.
  • For candidates from Karnataka SC, ST & other backward classes (Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B), the minimum eligibility is 40% aggregate in the optional subjects.

Admission Through Management Quota

Engineering: Candidates should have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), passed individually. Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry are compulsory subjects.
