B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) – NMIMS BBA LLB

A five-year programme that combines law with management subjects such as HRM, Accounting and Statistics. It suits students interested in corporate and business law.

NMIMS Kirit P Mehta School of Law Eligibility Criteria

As per the official 2026-27 admission handout, the NMIMS law eligibility is:

• Minimum 50% aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board.
• Candidates appearing in their final 10+2 exam can also apply for the test.
• The aggregate is calculated across all subjects taken, not the best of four or five.
• Candidates must pass all subjects in a single attempt. Any ungraded or failed subject makes a candidate ineligible, except for the Cambridge board.
• Candidates above 25 years can apply for BA LLB and BBA LLB under the NLAT category.

Special rules apply to IB, Cambridge and overseas-board candidates. NMIMS states that its handout is the only reference for eligibility, and brochures or promotional material are guides only. 2027 criteria are subject to official notification.

NMIMS School of Law Admission Process 2027

Based on the 2026-27 process, admission works as follows. NMIMS has not yet announced the 2027 schedule.

1. Visit the official NMIMS website and click "Apply Now" to create an account.
2. Select the Law programme, the NMIMS-LAT test category and campus preferences.
3. Pay the registration fee. Only paid candidates can schedule the exam.
4. Choose a test centre and date, then download the admit card from your dashboard.
5. Take the computer-based test.
6. Update your 10+2 marks and upload the mark sheet when results are declared.
7. Check the merit list and counselling call letter, then complete document verification and fee payment.

For reference, the 2026 cycle ran registration from 28 January to 26 May 2026, with tests from 10 February to 31 May 2026, and merit lists in June. 2027 dates are not yet announced. Track them at nlat.nmims.edu.

NMIMS Law Entrance Exam / Admission Test

The NMIMS law entrance exam is the NMIMS National Law Aptitude Test, called NLAT or NMIMS-LAT. According to the 2026-27 handout, the test is computer-based with no negative marking:

A candidate can attempt the exam once plus up to two retakes, and the highest score counts. Selection uses the test score together with the 10+2 result, and the merit cut-off is decided solely by NMIMS. Cut-offs for 2027 are not announced. A sample paper is available on the official NLAT site.

NMIMS says the fee figures in its handout are for the 2025 batch and are for reference only. Fees for later batches are communicated at the time of admission. Treat the figures below as indicative / latest available fee information and confirm with NMIMS.

Documents Required for NMIMS Law Admission

NMIMS issues the final document list at the time of verification. Based on the 2026-27 handout, keep these ready:

• Class 10+2 mark sheet (final, with all compulsory subjects passed). Digilocker or internet copies are accepted within a set window if the final copy is pending.
• Government photo ID. The name must match your admit card and registration, and NMIMS notes that the Aadhaar name should be identical to the form.
• Admit card for the test, with a recent photograph.
• AAPAR / ABC ID details, which the handout advises keeping ready before registration.
• Disability certificate, where applicable, uploaded at registration.
• IB conversion transcript or AIU equivalence certificate for IB, overseas or open-school candidates, where applicable.

NMIMS Law Admission 2027: Important Things Students Should Know

• Register only once per exam category. NMIMS says duplicate registrations can lead to being blocked.
• Registration fees are non-refundable, and exam rescheduling is not allowed once slots are chosen.
• Paying fees does not confirm eligibility. Admission stays provisional until documents are verified.
• Wrong marks or eligibility details can lead to cancellation, even after admission.
• NMIMS states that canvassing in any form for admission disqualifies a candidature.
• Third-party websites often quote outdated cut-offs, fees or exams. Cross-check with NMIMS.

NMIMS Direct Admission 2027: What Students Should Understand

NMIMS states on its official NLAT portal that it has no management quota for admissions and does not authorise any third-party agency or individual to represent it for direct admissions. It advises students to treat social-media claims of direct admission as false and to call 1800-1025-138 to report suspicious activity.

So at NMIMS School of Law, "direct admission" cannot mean skipping the entrance test. Admission depends on:

• meeting the published eligibility criteria,
• appearing in NLAT and ranking in the merit list,
• document verification and fee payment as per NMIMS process, and
• seat availability, with the cut-off decided by NMIMS alone.

Some third-party sites describe a management-quota route. Those claims are not NMIMS policy, and students should not pay anyone who promises a seat. If NMIMS publishes a new route for 2027, it will appear on official NMIMS channels.
